Zornheym er et symfonisk black/death metal band startet af multiinstrumentalist Zorn i 2014 efter hans exit fra Dark Funeral. Bandet er baseret på et koncept med dramatiske, cinematiske narrativer om rædsler, som foregår på et sindssygehospital. Det har de indtil videre præsenteret på to album med et tredje på vej, en EP og to grafiske romaner illustreret af den dygtige finske kunstner Anu Saari, som tidligere har designet en plakat for Raise Your Horns. Zornheyms lyd er teknisk, brutal, melodisk og storladen med kor og strygere, der vil tiltale fans af navne som Septicflesh, Dimmu Borgir og Fleshgod Apocalypse.
Da Zornheym sidst spillede på vores festival, var det under de specielle forhold i 2020 med siddende publikum og begrænsede muligheder for interaktion. Ikke desto mindre leverede de en forrygende koncert med den samme høje energi, som de er kendt for. Nu hvor restriktionerne er væk, bliver det fantastisk at se, hvordan disse ekstreme svenskere for alvor kan levere deres show og interagere med et begejstret publikum, når de vender tilbage til Raise Your Horns, ligesom de har gjort ved utallige koncerter og festivaler over hele Europa.

Zornheym is a symphonic black/death metal band started by multi-instrumentalist Zorn in 2014, after his exit from Dark Funeral. The band is based on a concept with dramatic, cinematic narratives of horrors that take place in a mental hospital. So far, they have presented this on two albums with a third on the way, an EP, and two graphic novels illustrated by the skilled Finnish artist Anu Saari who has previously designed a poster for Raise Your Horns. Zornheym’s sound is technical, brutal, melodic, and epic with choirs and strings that will appeal to fans of names such as Septicflesh, Dimmu Borgir, and Fleshgod Apocalypse.
When Zornheym last played our festival, it was under the special conditions in 2020 with a seated audience and limited opportunities for interaction. Nonetheless, they delivered a spectacular show with the same high energy that they are known for. Now that the restrictions are gone, it will be amazing to see how these extreme Swedes truly can deliver their show and interact with a thrilled crowd upon their return to Raise Your Horns, like they have done at numerous concerts and festivals all over Europe.
