Stockholm-baserede Havamal spiller symfonisk viking/power metal i stil med bands som Ensiferum, Wintersun og Amon Amarth. Siden dannelsen i 2016 har de udgivet de to album ’The Shadow Chapter’, der udkom på Art Gates Records i år, og ’Tales From Yggdrasil’ i 2019 samt EP’en ’Call of the North’ i 2017. Bandet er for nyligt blevet signet af Hell Frog Promotion, hvor de er i godt selskab med Valkenrag og Décembre Noir, der ligeledes kan opleves på Raise Your Horns i år, samt Zornheym, der spillede en forrygende koncert på festivalen sidste år.
Dyt forankret i temaet af nordisk mytologi og vikingekultur leverer Havamal fantastiske fortællinger fra Norden om guder, jætter og skabninger som Fenris, Kraken og Midgårdsormen. Med en lyd, der blander black, folk og symfonisk metal, er Havamals musik den perfekte baggrund for disse historier fra vores stolte nordiske traditioner. Bandet formår at skabe den rette blanding af brutalitet og melodi til at vække fantasien til live og fremmane billeder af storslåede slag mellem mytologiske helte og væsener. Stockholm based Havamal play symphonic Viking/power metal in the vein of bands such as Ensiferum, Wintersun and Amon Amarth. Since their formation in 2016, they have released the two albums ’The Shadow Chapter’ which came out on Art Gates Records this year and ’Tales From Yggdrasil’ in 2019 as well as the EP ’Call of the North’ in 2017. The band was recently signed by Hell Frog Promotion, where they are in good company with Valkenrag and Décembre Noir who also can be experienced at Raise Your Horns this year as well as Zornheym who played an amazing show at the festival last year.
Deeply rooted in the theme of Norse mythology and Viking culture, Havamal deliver fantastic tales from the North of gods, giants and beasts such as Fenrir, Kraken and the Midgard Serpent. With a sound that blends black, folk and symphonic metal, Havamal’s music is the perfect backdrop for these stories from our proud Nordic traditions. The band accomplishes creating the right mixture of brutality and melody to bring life to the fantasy and conjure up images of epic battles between mythological heroes and creatures.
