Det Frederikssund-baserede death metal band Six String Slaughter er ægte veteraner på den danske metalscene med erfaring, som spænder helt tilbage til 90’erne fra medlemmer, der har spillet i bands som Corpus Mortale og Iron Fire. Six String Slaughter blev startet i 2007 og har udgivet EP’erne ’The World Slaughter’ i 2009 og ’The Next Slaughter’ i 2010 samt deres foreløbigt eneste LP ’Born Unspoiled’ i 2014. Bandet er dog i færd med indspilningerne til opfølgeren, som kommer til at hedde ’As the Continents Collide’ og bliver udgivet i 2021.
Six String Slaughter spiller death metal inspireret af både amerikanske og skandinaviske traditioner. Det betyder masser af tunge grooves og melodi i bandets musik, der også indeholder klassiske thrash-elementer. Det her er simpelt, effektivt metal med catchy riffs- og omkvæd, som altid bibeholder den hårde kant, en stil, som bandet kalder “old-school brutality and contemporary finesse.” Raise Your Horns er Six String Slaughters første offentliggjorte optræden i 2021, og vi ser frem til at byde dem velkommen tilbage til Musikhuzet, hvor de sidst spillede i 2016.

Frederikssund-based death metal band Six String Slaughter are true veterans on the Danish metal scene with experience dating all the way back to the 90s from members having played in bands such as Corpus Mortale and Iron Fire. Six String Slaughter was started in 2007 and has released the EPs ’The World Slaughter’ in 2009 and ’The Next Slaughter’ in 2010 along with their, for the time being, only LP ’Born Unspoiled’ in 2014. However, the band is in the midst of recording the follow-up which will be titled ’As the Continents Collide’ and will be released in 2021.
Six String Slaughter play death metal inspired by both American and Scandinavian traditions. That means lots of heavy grooves and melody in the band’s music which also contains classic thrash elements. This is simple, effective metal with catchy riffs and choruses that always maintain the hard edge, a style which the band refers to as “old-school brutality and contemporary finesse.” Raise Your Horns is Six String Slaughter’s first announced performance of 2021 and we look forward to welcoming them back to Musikhuzet where they last played in 2016.
