Første internationale navn på plakaten er det finske black metal band Ondfødt, der i 2023 kunne fejre sit 10-års jubilæum med udgivelsen af ’Det Österbottniska Mörkret’. Albummet er den fjerde fuldlængdeudgivelse i bandets katalog, der snart vil inkludere EP’en ’Oldfodt’ ude d. 5. april på Black Lion Records. Denne nye EP indeholder en håndfuld numre med ældre materiale inkl. singlen ’Faensgyte’, som Ondfødt har genindspillet, og fungerer som appetikvækker for gruppens femte album, der står til udgivelse i slut 2024/start 2025.
I det hele taget står 2024/2025 til at blive en af de største perioder i bandets karriere med to nye udgivelser, et stærkt, nyt line-up og en række festivaler og turneer booket igennem Europa. Dette inkluderer deres første koncert i Danmark nogensinde, der vil blive afholdt på Raise Your Horns. Det bornholmske metalpublikum kan se frem til at overvære finnernes apokalyptiske black metal, der er et moderne take på genretraditioner a la Mgla, Uada og Gaerea. The first international name on the poster is Finnish black metal band Ondfødt who in 2023 could celebrate its 10-year anniversary with the release of ’Det Österbottniska Mörkret’. The album is the fourth full length release in the band’s catalogue which will soon include the EP ’Oldfodt’ out on the 5th of April on Black Lion Records. This new EP contains a handful of songs with older material incl. the single ’Faensgyte’ that Ondfødt have re-recorded and functions as an appetizer for the group’s fifth album set to release late 2024/early 2025.
In general, 2024/2025 is looking to become one of the biggest periods in the band’s career with two new releases, a strong, new line-up and several festivals and tours booked throughout Europe. This includes their first show ever in Denmark which will be held at Raise Your Horns. The Bornholmian metal crowd can look forward to witnessing the Finns’ apocalyptic black metal which is a modern take on genre traditions a la Mgla, Uada, and Gaerea.
