Thy Kingdom Will Burn er et finsk band dannet i 2016 og er hermed et af de nyere navne på årets program. Bandet betegner deres stil som ’Dark’ og spiller metal, der blander elementer fra melodisk death, black, thrash, folk og doom. Fans af navne som Draconian, Dark Tranquility, Swallow The Sun og Children of Bodom eller i det hele taget ”powerful, atmospheric and melancholic music”, som bandet beskriver sig selv, vil måske finde musikken interessant.
Siden kvartettens dannelse har de skabt et solidt navn for dem selv på den melodiske death metal scene med udgivelse af EP’en ’Unclean’ i 2018 og albummet ’Thy Kingdom Will Burn’ i 2021, der allerede bliver efterfulgt af det nye album ’The Void and the Vengeance’ i maj i år på Scarlet Records. Vi er spændte på at høre det stærke materiale live, når Thy Kingdom Will Burn indtager scenen med finsk mørke og spiller deres første koncert i Danmark.

Thy Kingdom Will Burn is a Finnish band formed in 2016 and is hereby one of the newer names on this year’s program. The band define their style as ’Dark’ and play metal that blends elements from melodic death, black, thrash, folk, and doom. Fans of names such as Draconian, Dark Tranquility, Swallow the Sun, and Children of Bodom or in general ”powerful, atmospheric and melancholic music”, as the band describe themselves, might find the music interesting.
Since the quartet’s formation, they have made a solid name for themselves on the melodic death metal scene with the release of the EP ’Unclean’ in 2018 and the album ’Thy Kingdom Will Burn’ in 2021 which is already being followed up by the new album ’The Void and the Vengeance’ in May of this year on Scarlet Records. We are excited to hear the strong material live when Thy Kingdom Will Burn take the stage with Finnish darkness and play their first show in Denmark.
